This month, we’re spotlighting our Supply Chain Management initiatives. Our member sites exclusively source hides and skins from Australian suppliers, strengthening domestic industries while ensuring quality and reliability throughout our value chain.
Driven by increasing customer demand — particularly from EU markets — we’re advancing traceability systems that track materials from farm to finished product. Our industry is actively researching innovative tracking methods, including laser technology, to enhance transparency and meet evolving international standards.
Through collaborative partnerships with meat producers, processors, industry bodies and government, we’re working towards a nationwide tracing system that will set new benchmarks for accountability in our sector.
Our vision extends beyond compliance — we’re investing in value chain traceability that demonstrates our sustainability credentials at every stage.
